Hi! I’m Emily.

I currently live in Montana, but grew up in the PNW (Washington and Oregon). I enjoy creating art, doing puzzles while listening to audiobooks, and spending time with my husband and kids.

Ten years ago, I spent a couple of years in Cambodia, teaching various school subjects to high schoolers and connecting with the kids at the school/orphanage where I volunteered. It was one of the most defining periods of my life. In fact, a few years after I returned home, I ended up marrying one of my best friends from Cambodia! I loved the experience of teaching kids English—and learning the Cambodian language myself.

My husband and I currently make our home in the US. Our two kids are bi-cultural and we’re trying to help them be bilingual (though it’s easier said than done!). We enjoy celebrating a couple of my husband’s cultural holidays, and learning to vegetarianize some of his home dishes.

Learning to grow a multi-cultural family to flourish is no easy task—and that’s why I’m passionate about helping other families learn to enjoy the process. Whether you’re helping your kids learn your heart language, figuring out how to celebrate traditional holidays, or traveling internationally, I would love to journey alongside you!
